Hello Cornerstone Montgomery Community,
We recently opened our doors for an Open House event at our Taft location, and I am thrilled to share the highlights and my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this evening possible.
Firstly, I want to extend a special thank you to our volunteers and the Executive Leadership Team. Your dedication and effort shone brightly, helping to orchestrate an evening that truly represented the spirit of Cornerstone Montgomery. Though the event was intimate, the energy was palpable, with a consistent stream of attendees that included notable guests such as Montgomery County Delegate Greg Wims, MoCo Council President Andrew Friedson, MoCo Councilmember Will Jawando, and Charles County Commissioner Ralph Patterson. Your presence and interest in our mission mean the world to us.
Our programs, which are the heartbeat of our service to the community in Montgomery County and Southern Maryland, were on full display. I am particularly proud of the hearing voices activity, brilliantly led by Karina Campbell and Chris Long, which provided insightful experiences and sparked engaging discussions among our guests. This activity, along with the beautiful artwork from our Studio In-Sight artists and the informative presentations about our health homes and collaborative efforts, underscored the comprehensive support we strive to provide at Cornerstone Montgomery.
A delightful surprise of the evening was the potential new team member identified by our HR department, a testament to the powerful connections made during the event. It’s interactions like these that reinforce the importance of our gatherings, serving as a bridge between potential and opportunity.
I must also acknowledge the tremendous work done by our Facilities team, who ensured that everything from setup to teardown was handled seamlessly. And, of course, a huge round of applause for Quincy Inman, our Director of Development and Communication, whose dedication and personal contributions significantly enriched the experience for everyone involved.
To the Board members who invited their networks, attended, and supported us, your commitment never goes unnoticed. Thank you for being our champions in every arena.
As we continue to reflect on the success of our Open House, I am filled with hope and excitement for the future of Cornerstone Montgomery. The stories shared, the connections made, and the support garnered remind us all of why we do what we do—because every individual deserves a chance to dream big and achieve even more.
Thank you once again to everyone involved. Your efforts create the ripples that turn into waves of positive change.
